About
Romeria Louise is a Mexican/American visual artist based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, known for her richly layered mixed media abstract paintings. Her work explores the emotional resonance of color, texture, and organic forms, creating compositions that invite a deep sense of presence, connection, and curiosity. Through a process rooted in intuition and experimentation, she blends collage, paint, and various materials to build pieces that reflect the energy of nature and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
Romeria’s passion for art began in childhood and continued throughout her teens. Though she explored creative paths for many years, it is only recently that she has been able to pursue art full-time and share her work more widely. This return to her first love has brought a renewed sense of purpose and joy to her practice.
Beyond painting, Romeria also works in ceramics, paper sculpture, and furniture design—often collaborating with local artisans to honor the rich traditions of handmade craft. She holds degrees in Interior Design and Visual Arts from Northern Arizona University and the Milan Art Institute, and brings over a decade of experience in developing her artistic voice.
At the heart of Romeria’s work is a desire to create spaces that feel alive—places where viewers can experience a moment of emotion, memory, or connection. Through her art, she aims to remind others of the vitality in nature, the handmade, and the simple rhythms of daily life.
